She's a great supporting character to Gavin! But, I want Ben and Gavin. I hated that a strong character was completely broken and I hated that a choice Ben and Gavin made in their personal life seemed out of character with their committed relationship but I loved this book and this series. more rner and more than once I had to lay it down as my heart was pounding. Make no mistake the violence she endures is brutal, so if this is a red flag for you do not read this book, but the story is a page tu. It skips back and forth from the brutality and rape that Myah is enduring at the hands of a human trafficking ring to Gavin and Ben's hunt to find her. In this book Myah is kidnapped and missing and Gavin comes out of retirement to help find her. Myah, a strong willed, no nonsense cop has saved Gavin on numerous occasion. Gavin's former police partner, Myah, married his brother and started a family. Review 1: If you are familiar with this series, you know that police detective Gavin DeGrassi and psychologist Ben Haverson have come through horrific events to become a committed couple in a loving BDSM relationship. As today IS February 14 th, we are looking at romantic book covers… just because. For me, part of finding this type of read (and likely what is most often on my bookshelf), is the cover design. This story felt a little poorly planned and like the author didn't quite know what to do with it at times, like it was a placeholder to set up the next book. Below are some of those issues, in no particular order, but with some spoilers. However, I have some issues with this book. I loved How to Defeat a Demon King and Sufficiently Advanced Magic was groundbreaking. I am a longtime fan of Andrew Rowe and his books. It's also generally easy to unplug media players when not in use, like a radio or CD player. One example of devices that could easily be unplugged include TVs and set-top boxes in guest rooms. The first step is, of course, to unplug anything that is not actively in use or not used often. $27 at Amazon How to control standby power The NRDC estimated the cost of always-on devices at up to $165 per household per year on average. Unplugging it when not in use would save 100 times as much power during the lifetime of the device.Ī study published by the Natural Resources Defense Council (PDF) found that reducing the load from always-on devices would save consumers a total of $8 billion annually and avoid using 64 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. For instance, an educational experiment from Colorado State University found that a combo radio/CD player/tape player used 4 watts continually, whether it was in use or not. However, how much you save could depend on how many devices you use and your habits with them. Standby power accounts for 5% to 10% of residential energy use, according to the US Department of Energy. Many people are shocked to realize how much standby power can add up.
